Leeds Haul

Haul Origins Lush Body Shop Illamasqua

I’ve been back from Leeds for less than an hour, and I thought I would share my purchases with you all. I went up on Friday to see Nik as he is working there for a month, so I am now forever waiting for the weekend to come. He was working Saturday so I had a few hours to myself to explore the shops.

On Jayne’s recommendation the first place I headed was the Victorian quarter which has some has some gorgeous boutiques, and made a great change to walking through yet another cookie cutter shopping centre. I took Nik back there today and even managed to get him to treat himself to some Neal's Yard skincare (my shopping habits are clearly rubbing off on him)I was very happy to find a Space NK and Nik treated me to a full size Caudalie Beauty Elixir (which I have just ran out of, you can see my review here) and a new set of Shu Uemura Lash Curlers, as mine were far from at their best. The lady was lovely enough to put some Ren/Nars samples in my bag so I look forward to trying those out.

I also picked up a the Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation from Harvey Nichols, as my skin is a bit better and I wanted something light to wear for daytime.  I repurchased Illamasqua’s Medium Pencil in Vow (a gorgeous nude for the waterline) and got the Cream Blusher in Lies which looks beautiful.

I also got a Orgins cleanser to use in the morning and some handbag essentials from the Body Shop.

If there is anything you would like to see reviews/swatches of let me know and I will try to get to them first!

Boots Haul

Bourjois L'Oreal Revlon Colorstay Healthy Mis Foundation Haul

My bank balance hates Boots. The endless 3 for 2 offers really draw me in, and I can’t help but splurge! Since my EL Double Wear started breaking me out I’ve become foundation obsessed, I must have bought at least five in the past few months. Mad!

The Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation(£10.99) has had mixed reviews, but I really wanted to try it out, it claims to have 3 colour correcting pigments, which combat dark circles, redness and a dull complexion.

I had also wanted to get the Flower Perfection foundation but they had sold out of my shade, and as I needed a fuller coverage foundation for those days when I wish I could use Double Wear, I picked up L’Oreal Infallible(£12.29). I’m sure I have used this before, when I was about 14, and promptly forgot about it and moved on to something else. The colour matches really well, although I would prefer if it was so pink toned.

My MAC Mineralize Skinfinish is finally almost gone, so I decided to try the Revlon Color  Stay Powder (£10.99), I haven’t heard anything about this, but it seems okay so far!

If you want to see reviews of any of these in particular let me know and I will try to get them up as soon as possible!

A Small Haul : Maybelline Color Tattos, No7 & Avene

haul maybelline color tattoos

Just a few things I picked up at Boots and Superdrug today. Maybelline is currently on 3 for 2 at Superdrug, so I had to pick out a few 24hr Color Tattoos, so glad the Taupe shade got released here! I also found this Gosh Fan Brush for 10p! Definitely worth checking out for that price!

I used my No7 voucher to get the Beautiful Skin Moisturiser for Oily skin, it has SPF 15 and 5* UVA Protection, which is great as I forget my SPF quite a lot! I also got the Avene Cleanance K to try, a chemical exfoliator with AHAs and BHA’s.

I will try to get some swatches of the Maybelline Color Tattoos up tomorrow!

A little haul…

I went into Boots this afternoon to get a hair dye and couldn’t resist using some Boots Points (so I haven’t technically broken my no buy!) to get something from Nicola Roberts Dainty Doll range which has recently cropped up in selected Boots stores.

I picked up a lipstick(£12.50) 003 ( it’s my party) one of five colours in the lipstick range, all aimed at paler skin. It’s my party is a bright coral pink, although it looks a lot redder in the tube. I’ll be doing a full review in a day or so when I have tested wear time!

I also picked up a John Frieda Precision Foam Colour in Deep Cherry Brown. I’ve used this colour once before and I’m a big fan of the foam, not only because its easy but I only need one box to do my hair, where as with traditional dyes I would need two!
Dainty Doll is available at Harrods and selected Boots, John Frieda Precision Foam Colour is available at Boots, Superdrug and supermarkets, and is currently on offer for £6.79 at Boots.

Recent Haul

Ill be posting reviews of most of these products later in the week but for now some photo's...

No7 Natural Blush in Honey (£9.00 for 5g or £4.00 with the current vouchers!)
I had been looking for a neutral toned blush for workand this seemed to fit the bill a nice nude that doesn't pull orange on my cool toned skin. Perfect.
No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Totally Teal (£7.50), 17 Matte Top Coat (£4.00), Barry M Nail Paint in Grey (£2.99)
I need more nail varnish like I need a hole in the head but oh well. A bit late on the matte nail varnish band wagon but at under a fiver ( and currently available in the 3 for 2 offer) I figured why not.
17 Lasting Fix Lipsticks in Hot Chilli and Dreamy (£4.29 each) also availible on the 3 for 2)
I didn't have an orangey red and I can't wait to wear Hot Chilli once summer finally arrives! Dreamy is a nice addition to my pink lipstick collection.
That it for this haul. Reviews and swatches to follow in the week!
