Another product from the MUA & Love Hearts Collaboration for you today. I Want You is a bright orange peach shade. It’s a gorgeous shade for spring, bright without being neon, and unlike most orange polishes actually suits my skin tone. The formula is a little thick, so it takes a little work, but the colour is worth it so I’ll forgive it that!

I think it’s safe to say every girl loves a good lip balm. At the minute I have 3 in my handbag and a good few more stashed away. MUA Great Lips is part of they’re latest collaboration with Love Hearts, its a sheer, warm toned nude. It isn’t very pigmented but it definitely stops my lips looking so blue-toned. It also works great over darker lipsticks that you want to tone down. I love it over my current favourite lipstick MAC Amorous, it makes it easier to wear, and a bit more work friendly!
These aren’t as moisturizing as some more targeted lip balms but when applied through the day, it keeps my lips feeling soft, and stops any more matte/drying lipsticks turning my lips into a dry flaky mess!
There are five shades in the range, and I’ll definitely be picking up a couple of the beautiful pink shades!

I’m very picky with lipgloss, so when I find one I like it tends to stay in my make-up bag for weeks. MUA’s Out There Lipgloss in Nude is a very wearable translucent nude, I have quite pigmented, blue toned lips so I find this brings some life back to my lips and stops them looking dead. I don’t find it too be gloopy or sticky, and it lasts a decent amount of time before I need to reapply (although it doesn’t survive eating – but I’m yet to find a lip gloss that does) As for the plumping aspect, I haven’t noticed anything other than a tingle on application, but I am happy with the size of my lips and don’t really care for the ‘bee stung’ look.
I really like the packaging, compared to the older MUA glosses, its a lot sleeker and more practical. There’s quite a good shade range, so definitely worth checking out.
These lipglosses are a snip at £2 each and are great if you don’t want to spend a fortune on lipgloss.

I finally managed to get my hands on MUA’s Glamour Nights Palette, and as usual with MUA Palettes it didn’t disappoint! If you’ve got a Christmas Party, Work Do or New Years Eve Bash to go to and want to wear something a bit bolder than a neutral or monochromatic smokey eye, you should consider picking this up.
The Glamour Days and Nights for me are the stand out products of the MUA line (perhaps along with the Heaven and Earth Palette) as they seem to have a very definitive theme, and the I can see myself using all of the colours. I can see the shades in this palette working brilliantly for a deep, sultry smokey eye with a pop of colour on the lid, and understated nude lips.
I find when I’m out for the night I hate having to worry about my lipstick (or gloss on the rare occasion I wear it) smudging or transferring onto my cocktail pint glass, so I’d much prefer to go all out on the eye make-up and keep the lips simple. This palette is perfect for that, and with a good range of mattes and shimmers, including also a matte and a shimmer highlight, I don’t find I have to reach for shadows outside the palette to complete the look.
All the shadows last brilliantly over a primer, and stay on until I take them off. Over all the same high quality that you can now expect from MUA, with some great colours that you don’t normally see on the highstreet.

You might have noticed I’ve been absent on here and twitter for a few days and it’s because I been very preoccupied with this little sweetie…
Me and Nik adopted Jenny, an 8 year old Jack Russell on Sunday, and since then it has been very much like looking after a small child. I love her to bits and have been spending my free time walking her or letting her sleep on my lap! Now she’s settling in I will be back to cranking out some blog posts!
I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this palette, and it hasn’t disappointed. I picked this up in Superdrug on Friday ( hopefully they will start stocking the Glam Nights palette soon!) and have been playing around with the shades all weekend.
Glam Days contains a great mix of neutrals, with a few pops of colour to make it suitable for work and days-out, or nights if you prefer a more subtle look.
Glam Days and Nights are the first of MUA’s £4.00 palettes to include matte shades, containing 3 matte shades and 5 shimmer. The Immaculate Collection also included some matte shades, but I found they were a little dry, and hard to work with. The 3 matte neutrals in this palette however, are great, they are as creamy and easy to blend as the shimmer shades. It’s great to see high-street matte shades finally being equal in quality to shimmery eye shadows.
This is another great offering from MUA, I always look forward to they’re new releases and I can’t wait to see what else they’re going to come up with!

You probably remember the Immaculate Collection that I featured here. Well, there’s quite a deal on at Superdrug at the minute, if you spend £8 instore on Make Up Academy, you receive the Immaculate Collection free! I don’t think stocks will last very long while this deal is on so get to your nearest MUA stockist!
A quick EOTD I did the other day using the purples from the MUA Immaculate Collection. The matte one was the one I was most excited to try, as I find most brands (including high-end ones) tend to struggle with. I used it as a base for the darker and shimmer shades and I found it a little hard to work with. The texture is a bit harder than the shimmer/metallic shades but I have MAC matte purples that have a worse texture, so I don’t think it is necessarily a bad shade. The metallic shades are gorgeous, easy to blend and well pigmented, the lilac shade if a really lovely colour, great for blending out a purple lid or for using to brighten the eye and neutralise redness.
I’ve been using the neutral shades pretty much daily since I bought the palette, they’re great for when you’re in a rush (like I am most mornings) as the soft texture blends so easily.

Here’s a sneak peek of MUA’s latest offerings! Due to be released at selected Superdrug’s on the 26th of October, I think these will be another sell out product for the brand, much like their Heaven and Earth Palette. Both palettes have a great range of shades, including for the first time, some matte shades! I really cannot ait to get my hands on these palettes, the Days palette having some gorgeous colours for work or balancing out a bright lip, and the Night’s having some lovely, festive shades some of which are sure to push you outside your comfort zone! I can’t wait to try out the red in the Nights palette, I’m just hoping it isn’t too pink.

As promised here’s my first FOTD from the MUA Dusk til Dawn palette, I decided to do more of a dramatic look using the bright turquoise, glittery navy, black and a mixture of the two highlight colours on the browbone.

If you love your neutrals shimmery, with maybe a touch of glitter I don’t think you can go far wrong with this palette. I came about, the much talked about palette when I went to Superdrug to get the latest offering from Sleek, when I spotted this was the last one on the stand (it has been sold out ever since I started visiting Superdrug in search of it) I grabbed it without a second thought.
If you have £4 to spare, and you find this in your local Superdrug, buy it. I’m pretty sure every make-up lover out there can find £4’s worth of use for this. I think now between this palette and Sleek’s Nude Palette, I’ve got neutrals covered, no more will I lust over the infamous Naked palette that frankly I cant afford!
The shades in this palette are pigmented, creamy and very easy to blend, the only thing I would say is lacking from the palette is a couple of matte shades, particularly one suitable for filling in brows. Which would of meant when I stay overnight at the boys I could just take the one palette with me and be all set, but for four pounds, I’m not going to complain!

Overall I’m really impressed with this palette, I will definitely be checking out the rest of the palettes, especially since Lily over at BBH, revealed you can use those 25% off receipts Superdrug give out on all MUA purchases, which brings the cost down to £3! I do love a bargain!
